How Credit Card Charges Work on the DIRECTV Advertising Self-Serve Platform

What you need to know about how and when your credit card will be charged as you run advertising campaigns.

DIRECTV Advertising’s Self-Serve DSP operates on a simple, transparent, pay-as-you-go billing model. Here’s what you need to know about how and when your credit card will be charged as you run advertising campaigns.

Charging Structure

We process charges to your credit card in $500 increments, with a maximum of one charge per day.

Daily Spend Over $500:

If your daily campaign spend exceeds $500 — for example, you spend $2,000 in a day — you will receive one single charge for $2,000, not multiple $500 transactions.

Daily Spend Under $500:

If your daily spend is under $500, the charge will be held until your accumulated spend reaches $500, or until 30 dayshave passed — whichever comes first.

Example:
If you spend $300 over 30 days, your credit card will be charged $300 on day 30.

Receipts & Notifications

Every time your credit card is charged, you will receive a receipt by email for your records. This includes:

  • The amount charged
  • The date of the transaction
  • A summary of campaign activity tied to the charge

Billing Best Practices

  • Your card is only charged for actual spend — no pre-authorizations or upfront charges.
  • Charges are tied directly to campaign activity and spend volume.
  • To avoid interruptions, ensure your credit card is valid and has sufficient available credit.
