Self-Serve Advertising Platform Guide

Welcome to our self-serve platform for CTV (Connected TV) advertising. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up an account, build a campaign, and track results. Let’s get started.

Setting Up an Account

  • Visit DIRECTV Self-Serve App
    Navigate to   directv.jamloop.app
  • Sign Up with your email
    Enter your email address or use an existing Gmail account. You will be sent a verification to your email address for you to complete setting up your account.
  • Verify Your Email
    Check your email inbox for a verification link. Click on the link to confirm your account.
  • Log In
    After verification, return to the JamLoop site, log in with your new credentials, and you’re ready to get started!

Create your Agency or Direct Advertising Account

  • After you select Advertiser or Agency Manager you will be asked to:
    • Enter company name and address
    • Company Website
    • Click on Create Account

Create Campaign

  • Click on Create Campaign
    • Enter a Campaign name
    • Enter the total Budgeted revenue for your campaign
    • Click on Next Strategy button
  • Build out your Campaign Strategy
    • Enter a name for your line item
    • Enter a budget for your line item (Total of all line items must match total campaign budget)
    • Duration: Select date range for your line item to run.
  • Ad Product – Choices Include:
    • Streaming TV: Full Episode Player (FEP) content across your favorite shows, movies, apps and channels.
    • Online Video (OLV): shortform online video content across hundreds of digital channels.
    • Display: Banner or image-based ads placed on websites, apps, or platforms.
  • Screens: Select TV, Mobile, Desktop and/or Tablets for your Ads to be shown on.
  • Inventory Choices: Select which types of publishers inventory your ads will run on
    • Top 200: High Performing CTV apps and channels, ideal for broad reach and impact.
    • Entertainment: Hit Shows, movies and content from top entertainment networks and streaming apps.
    • News: National and Local news publishers for reaching audiences during informative programming.
    • Sports: Sports content from national and regional networks.
    • Full Streaming Catalog: Maximize reach with access to all available inventory across our streaming partners.
    • Local Broadcast: Streaming access to local TV affiliates by DMA, including local news and syndicated content.
    • Spanish Language: Premium Spanish language content across major networks and streaming platforms.
    • Customized Inventory Selection: You have the option to build a custom publisher list or exclude publisher by clicking on the name. To Exclude publishers just click on the name and the publisher will move to Excluded. To build a custom publisher list go to Exclude and click on select all. When you click on the publisher names they will move to the Included column.
  • Choosing your Targeting
    • Ages: Select the ages for your demo and all ages must be connected. If you would like to have not connected age groups we recommend building separate line items for each of the age groups
    • Gender: Select your gender(s).
    • Audience: Select your audience you would like to target. If you don’t see what you are looking for you may click on Add New and enter what you are looking for and the campaign team will build out your segments or contact support at Support@JamLoop.com. For 1st Party targeting Click Add New and write 1st party data and contact support by email or Chat.
  • Choosing your Geography
    • National: Run nationally, reaching audiences across the United States.
    • Targeted Strategy: Select to target by State, DMA or enter the campaign zip codes.
  • Time Slots / Dayparting
    • Days of the Week Selection
    • Eliminate any Dayparts you do not want your Ads to run in.
  • Frequency Cap Options
    • Industry default is 3 per day. You may decide to increase or decrease the max frequency a HH (IP) will be delivered an AD per day.

Creative

  • Upload Now: Upload your commercial now. Detailed Ad specs are in the Help Center.
  • Upload Later: You may finalize your campaign without creative then come back and enter the creative anytime before the launch date.

Summary and Launch Campaign

  • Congratulations: You will now receive a summary of your campaign.
    • Review and Confirm
      Review all campaign settings and creatives. Make any necessary adjustments.
    • Click “Launch”
      Hit the “Launch” button to set your campaign

Tracking and Analyzing Results

  • Access Campaign Analytics
    Go to the “Campaigns” section in the dashboard and select the campaign you want to analyze.
  • Review Key Metrics
    Monitor performance metrics such as:
    • Impressions
    • Media Mix
    • VCR - View Completion Rate
    • Conversion Rate

 

  • Generate Reports
    Use the reporting tools to create detailed performance reports. Customize reports based on your needs.
  • Optimize Your Campaign
    Analyze the data to make informed adjustments to your targeting, budget, and creative elements for better results.
